ADECCO appoints Sunil Chemankotil as Country Manager for India

As Country Manager, Sunil Chemankotil joins Adecco India for the second time. During his initial tenure, spanning seven years from 2007 to 2015, he held a variety of roles within the company. He has also worked with TeamLease Digital, Quess Corp, 3M India, and Xerox.


Adecco India Appoints Sunil Chemankotil As Country Manager Sunil Chemankotil has joined Adecco India as Country Manager, marking his second tenure with the company. In his initial stint spanning seven years from 2007 to 2015, he held diverse roles within the company.

Previously, he has also worked with TeamLease Digital, Quess Corp, 3M India, and Xerox. In his second stint at Adecco India, an HR solutions company, Sunil Chemankotil has joined the company as the Country Manager.

During his previous stint at Adecco India, spanning over seven years, he held several key positions including Director – Professional Staffing and Perm IT from January 2014 to April 2015. Initially joining as General Manager – Operations in November 2007, he subsequently took on diverse roles such as General Manager – Sales, Business Head – of IT Staffing, and Business Head – of IT (Staffing and Perm). 

Later, he transitioned to Quess Corp, where he held diverse roles such as Director at Magna Infotech, from April 2015 to August 2017, followed by serving as Business Head at Brainhunter USA from September 2017 to January 2019, and subsequently as Business Head at MFXchange US from February 2019 to August 2019.


He then joined TeamLease Digital in September 2019 as Head – Specialised Staffing and then progressed to the role of Chief Operating Officer (CEO) from April 2022 to March 2024. Subsequently, he returned to Adecco India. Between March 1998 and January 2002, he served as a Product Sales Manager at XEROX and later transitioned to the role of Sales Specialist with 3M India from March 2003 to November 2007.

Notably, Sunil's journey in the staffing industry began at Adecco India, where he served for over seven years across diverse functions, with a focus on professional and IT staffing. Equipped with a degree in electrical engineering and an MBA in HR and marketing, Sunil has joined Adecco India from TeamLease where he served as the CEO of the digital business.

He also held significant roles at Quess Corp. Ltd., including leading the USA P&L for Brainhunter and spearheading global consulting and staffing as the business head for MFX Change Inc. “Given Sunil’s extensive experience and demonstrated success in the staffing industry, we are confident that he will effectively lead our talented team in India to achieve success and growth.
