The company has incorporated a wholly-owned subsidiary, Adani New Industries Ltd (ANIL), its flagship Adani Enterprises Ltd said in a regulatory filing

Billionaire Gautam Adana's energy and logistics conglomerate has launched a new subsidiary, ANIL, to undertake green hydrogen projects, low-carbon power generation and manufacture wind turbines, solar panels and batteries, and become the world's leading energy company.

Largest renewables in the world and produce the cheapest hydrogen. Adana said in November last year that his group would invest $70 billion in the new energy space over the next decade. And now the company has established a wholly owned subsidiary, Adana New Industries Ltd (ANIL), its flagship company Adana Enterprises Ltd said in a regulatory filing.

ANIL will undertake project development and operations businesses for synthesis of fuels and low-carbon chemical products, low-carbon power generation and manufacture of key components/materials for projects including green hydrogen generation, related by-products, power generation and wind turbine manufacturing, it said. ANIL will also manufacture solar modules, batteries, electrolysis, related upstream manufacturing and ancillary industries and undertake all related activities in this regard, it added.

The companies in the group have already made ambitious plans. Adana Green Energy Ltd (AGE), the world's largest developer of solar power, is targeting 45 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030 and will invest US$20 billion to develop 2 GW of solar production capacity per year by 202223 Adana Transmission Ltd (ATL), India's largest private sector electricity transmission and retail company, aims to increase the share of renewable energy procurement from the current 3% to 30% by FY2023 and to 70% by FY2030.

Speaking at an event on November 11, 2021, Adana's founding chairman of the group said the group is working to make renewable energy a viable and affordable alternative to fossil fuels. We expect to be the world's largest company without warning by 2030 for renewable energy, and we're committed to investing $70 billion over the next 10 years it's happening. No other company has invested so much in developing its sustainability infrastructure,” said Adani.

Adani Group is already the world's largest developer of solar energy, leading any global company in efforts to produce cheap green electricity and green hydrogen," it said, without giving details on plans to produce hydrogen. Adani Enterprises said in the regulatory filing : "ANIL will commence operations in due course. At COP 26 in Glasgow, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced 2070 as India's target year to achieve net-zero carbon emissions.

"will manufacture and fully integrate all the critical components of the new energy ecosystem"

In addition, India announced a number of other more ambitious climate targets for 2030: increasing the share of renewable energy in the country's energy mix to 50 percent; Expansion of installed non-fossil energy capacity from 450 to 500 GW; and reduce the carbon intensity of the economy by 45 percent, compared to the previous target of 3,335 percent. And both Adani and the richest Indian, Mukesh Ambani, announced ambitious plans. On June 24, 2021, Ambani told Reliance Industries shareholders that his Oil to telecom conglomerate would invest Rs 60,000 crore to build four Gigafactory that will "fully manufacture and integrate all critical components of the new energy ecosystem".

As a result, his company made a number of acquisitions. To obtain the technology and capacity to produce green hydrogen, manufacture solar panels and manufacture batteries.
